We’re thrilled to share some updates on what happened in July, our plans for the future, as well as highlights from our Partners Assembly #3.
About Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA)
Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) is committed to leveraging blockchain technology to tackle some of society's most urgent challenges. As a collaborative, long-term non-profit initiative, our mission is to harness the transformative power of blockchain to address real-world issues for the benefit of society. Our Key Areas of Focus
The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) focuses on three key areas: Hackathons, the Web3 Oscar, and Project Incubation Support.
Hackathons and Demo Days
BGA partners will collaborate to sponsor and participate in existing hackathons under the "Blockchain for Good" track. Winners from these hackathons will receive invitations to an exclusive finale event hosted by BGA, where they will compete for top honors and showcase their innovative solutions.
Web3 Oscar
The Web3 Oscar is an event designed to bring together Web3 enthusiasts and recognize their contributions to addressing social challenges. This platform celebrates the achievements of those who use Web3 technology for social good, inspiring others to envision a brighter future through blockchain. The next Web3 Oscar event will be held from November 12-15 in Bangkok.
Web3Key Fund
The Web3Key Fund aims to sponsor initiatives and projects that leverage blockchain technology to make a positive impact on the world. By providing financial support, BGA empowers builders and innovators to develop solutions that address global challenges.
Projects Incubation
The BGA Incubation program is dedicated to supporting projects that utilize blockchain technology to solve real-world problems. BGA provides these projects with essential expertise, resources, branding, and market support to help them succeed and drive meaningful change.

On August 6th, we held our third BGA Partner Assembly at our Gather Town space:
BGA Steering Committee
To streamline our efforts, we've established an updated BGA Steering Committee. Here is a summary:
- Hackathon: Led by Bu Zhi DAO and KK from Moledao.
- Projects and Incubation: Led by Aidana from Blockchain Center and Daniel from Moledao.

Hackathon
July Track Events:
- ICP Demo Day and Townhall: We proudly announce the conclusion of the ICP Hack to the Future hackathon with a grand demo day featuring six exceptional teams and a panel on sustainable development with Carbon Crowd's founder.
- AdventureX Hackathon: China's First Hackathon for Young Innovators saw 10 projects submitted to the BGA track, including an NFT platform for charitable donations.
- MY Blockchain Week: BGA uncovered Malaysians' passion for blockchain by successfully hosting the MY Blockchain Week hackathon, engaging students in discussions on local social issues and sustainable development in religion, charity, public welfare, and the environmental benefits of electronic invoicing.
- Alibaba the Sustanability Startathon offline meet up: We introduced the BGA (Blockchain for Good) track's scoring rules, highlighting blockchain's role in addressing global issues in alignment with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
